Barry Sopher graduated from the University of Iowa with a Ph.D. in economics 1988. He is a professor of economics in the department of economics at Rutgers University and was Graduate Program Director from 1995-2001, Department Chair from 2003-2009, and is currently the Undergraduate Program Director, since 2015. He is the Director of the Center for Economic Behavior, Institutions and Design.
Barry Sopher is a member of the Steering Committee of the UG Data Science program. He will also be teaching and/or providing oversight of courses 01:220:322 Econometrics and 01:220:323(1) Data Science and Econometrics.
